First, I am very disappointed that you supported Mr. Holder, his track record shows serious lapses in judgment which should have quickly and decisively disqualified him from that position. As well your support of the expansion of the social medicine sphere will also hurt the system more than help.
This is not why I am contacting you today.
Today I hear that you are busy voting in favor of even more amendments to the bacon wrapped stimulus bill?
This entire bill is a sham, it is out and out fraud. It is not anything more than a bloated spending bill that will do little or nothing in the short term (according to your own CBO) and in the long term between the debt and the very possible catastrophic inflation it will induce it could entirely ruin our Nation.
This Bill in its entirety needs to be jettisoned and if you want to get the economy going here are 5 or 6 steps, less than one page to get it going. If the Congress were to do these few steps in the next two weeks, by the end of March the stock markets would be well above the levels they were back in November.
1. For the next two years, everyone pays 10% income tax
2. Delete AMT
3. Delete Death Tax
4. For the next two years Corporate taxes of 15% and any company bringing profits in from overseas will pay 0% taxes on that.
5. Fix CRA and mortgage rules that force lenders to make loans to unqualified borrowers or illegal aliens.
6. Fix the banking regulations that allow for and basically force banks to trade in the mortgage backed securities.
The majority of Americans see that this bill first and foremost is nothing more that pork. Yes the President says this bill will contain no earmarks, that is because the ENTIRE BILL IS NOTHING BUT EARMARKS!! Remove your support from this bill and please attempt to convince those around you to do the same.
This bill very well could kill this Nation, it moves this country so far from being a private enterprise driven nation that there is no way jobs can be created, not to mention the fact that there is no way that this can be paid for, it is completely unworkable, totally unreasonable, dangerous and frankly quite idiotic.
