It would seem the Governor of New Jersey, John Corzine, was involved in an accident today, and was injured to the point of needing surgery. That is truly a shame, I don't care for the man or his politics, but I do hope that he is or will be ok. The one thing in the news report that I found telling was this:
The governor does not usually wear a seat belt, a law enforcement official told the Associated Press, but it is unknown whether he was wearing one at the time of the crash.
Reminicent of Pennsylvania Governer Ed Rendell getting clocked at nearly 100mph in his State Police driven limo. Those pesky laws are for the common folk, not the high powered Governers. Nahhh they can't be bothered with speed limits and seat belt laws, nevermind your responsibility to uphold laws, set proper examples, keep yourself safe from harm to govern your state. Stupid, just plain stupid.
