The Whiner of the House, Nancy Pelosi, (D-Leftest Coast), is very mad. So mad in fact that if she had a ball, she might be on the verge of taking it and going home.
It seems that when the President said he welcomes disagreement in a time of war, she took that as, she can say anything in disagreement, suggest any plan, no matter how stupid, no matter how it might hurt our National Security, no matter how many tens of thousands of people will be killed because of it, but that once her magnificent plan was laid out, no one can point out that her plan reeks of cow dung.
"I think if we were to do what Speaker Pelosi and Congressman Murtha are suggesting, all we will do is validate the Al Qaeda strategy," the vice president told ABC News. "The Al Qaeda strategy is to break the will of the American people ... try to persuade us to throw in the towel and come home, and then they win because we quit."
Vice President Cheney has never really minced words, but he has rarely been flippant, crude or crass (Something you really can't say about the Whiner of the House). His comments seem to be spot on to me.
Many times OBL and others that speak for Al Qaida have said, press on and the Americans will lose their will to fight. The Vice President is right to point out that the Pelosi/Murtha plan (I use the word Plan loosely here), does validate the Al Qaida statements.
Just as using a preset exit date and saying when you are going to leave would validate the Al Qaida statements, the "insurgents" (secret code lingo for Iranian/Al Qaida backed militia) would love to know when we are leaving, then they can lay low, build up their stockpiles, and as we leave, they can move in and take over.
The must have cut off the end of her quote..... it should probably read something like.....
....whom we all support, while we try to cut their funding, deny their reinforcements and supplies and write out the unconditional surrender paperwork so that tens of thousands of the Iraqi citizens can be slaughtered upon our troops glorious return home.
I'm sure the editor must have cut that out by accident. Yet another thing Madame Whiner wouldn't know if it bit her on the butt, debate. She has not allowed debate on anything, with her, it's her way or she's going to whine to the press, or even worse, she's going to call the President.
No place in our debate? Your plan totaly sucks and we can't point that out, we can't point out why it sucks? They sure have a funny way of debating. I'm sure President Bush is loving having her as the Whiner of the House, first she's on the phone to complain about the plane that the DOD is giving her to fly around (at our expense), now she's calling to complain about being picked on by the Vice President. This person is third in line of succession? Lord save us.
Second of all, nowhere in the VP's quote do I see anything that says they are unpatriotic. Myself I think she wouldn't know patriotism if it bit her on her butt, but that's neither here nor there for this tiff. The VP simply called Murtha and her morons in very nice political speak. Their so called plan is moronic, devised by simpletons that have no stomach for hard decisions, and have no understanding of the implications of the actions they propose. It would be wonderful if bringing our troops home would solve the problems. It won't, it will only allow our enemies to strike at us harder, it will only give our enemies more to use in their madras recruiting campaigns and it will cause the deaths of those that looked to us for liberation from Saddam.
Britain and Denmark have announced that they are drawing down their own troop levels. They are saying that their missions are drawing to a close as the Iraqi's take over more and more responsibility in their geographic areas. That's progress, that's a good thing, that shows that just maybe things are working in Iraq. Our troops are handling the more difficult areas, as would be expected, (at least to those with at least 5 brain cells and an understanding of the situation in Iraq), but our dear Nancy, Whiner of the House, who in January went on a three day fact finding mission to Iraq, Pakistan and Afganistan and proclaimed 14.7 seconds after her reeboks hit the tarmac in Germany....
In two paragraphs she managed to totally contradict herself at least twice. Pull the troops, but reconstruct? Bush's policy is to reconstruct, that's what we've been doing. You wouldn't know it because it doesn't get reported. Building a school is not news here, a chopper getting shot down, chlorine tanker bombs, suicide bombers, that's news here. No wonder the average person on the street (that doesn't even know the Vice President's name) is fed up with the war. All they here about is death and destruction. The media (that is decidedly left leaning) will not lay out what the President is trying to do, because that might make more sense, it might actually convince people that his plan has a chance to work and that would be bad for the media and the people that they support.
Later in the Fox News piece, just to make it absolutely clear she has no clue about what she is talking about.......
Again I say, this bag of protozoa is third in line of succession? She could be the "leader" of the free world? That is as scary as ebola. What part of there are different parts of Iraq that different countries are minding didn't she get in one of her many briefings or in her ONE three day trip to the region? The parts of Iraq we have responsibility (there's a word that probably she would have to look up) for contain some of the worst violence. Yes things are going well in some parts of the country, but in others there is still work to be done. Just like our own country, in some parts things are going well, but along the Gulf Coast there is still work to be done. She shows herself to either be A.) Absolutely clueless on the topic of Iraq, which would mean she is following someone elses lead. Or B.) willing to say anything for the almighty sound-bite.
So what does it all mean? First the VP didn't in the quotes on Fox News, question her patriotism, he simply pointed out she and Murtha are clueless. I on the other hand am willing to have hearings into their competence to govern. They Pelosi and Murtha Et al, have shown that they really do not understand the situation, or if they do understand the situation, they are willing to cause the deaths of thousands (both in Iraq, and eventually here at home) for their own political gain. It seems obvious they are putting their interests above and beyond those of our country and those with whom we have an obligation to help at this point.
